  3. DESCRIPTION

  5. DatVac is a Windows based program that allows user to extract data from 
  6. inspection reports. Currently the only machine supported is a Zeiss. The
  7. program allows users to create a Config file which stores what information
  8. is to be extracted from the report. When the user goes to extract the
  9. data, they select the Process function. In this function, the user is asked
  10. to supply a Config file (which indicates what data to extract from the report),
  11. the name of the result file (a comma delimited file where the program will
  12. store the extracted data), and the names of the Zeiss files to extract the
  13. data from. There is also a utility to Adjust a section or all of the Address
  14. record numbers in your config file. This will be useful if the inspection
  15. report has some lines either added or deleted due to the addition or 
  16. deletion of some features being measured.

  18. The unregistered version of this program will only process the first 5 (five)
  19. entries of a config file and only the first 5 (five) Zeiss files. Once you
  20. register the program, the program will be unlocked with a registration key
  21. and this limitation will be removed.

  24. LICENSE AGREEMENT

  26. This software is provided on a trial basis for a 60 (sixty) day period. This 
  27. is intended to allow 30 days to decide on the purchase of this software, and 
  28. 30 days to purchase a copy.  After 60 days, should you decide not to purchase 
  29. this software, you must remove all copies from your system.  By using this 
  30. software you are agreeing to these terms.

  35. This software is sold on an as-is basis.  The author (J. Vandeville) specifically 
  36. disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied.  In no event shall the author be 
  37. liable for any loss of profit or any other damage including but not limited to 
  38. special, incidental, consequential or other damages including damages to a third 
  39. party.  By using this software you are agreeing to these terms.  If these terms 
  40. are not agreeable, do not use this software.

  45. DatVac will run under Windows 3.1 and Windows 95. To install DatVac:

  57. You may need to change the drive and directory to indicate where you have
  58. unzipped DatVac to. For example, if you have unzipped DatVac on the C drive
  59. in a directory called DOWNLOAD, your install command would be the following:
